Shining Together

This is our school song, written and performed by the children and staff at South Milford Primary School. We are a small North Yorkshire Primary School on the outskirts of Leeds. Danny from enabled us to fulfill our vision and dream to produce a song that would allow us to share with the World the aims and ethos of our school.

Our motto is ‘Shining Together’.

We believe all children should be given a platform on which to shine and reach their true potential. We aim to make a difference to the children by providing high quality and challenging opportunities within a stimulating learning environment.

We work hard to make our school an exciting and inspiring place to be and to ensure children reach high academic standards and are resilient to failure.  We provide a safe, happy and nurturing environment in which children show tolerance, respect and understanding for all.  We inspire and encourage children to develop their own talents and a sense of pride in their achievements and of their school.

We provide learning  experiences through an engaging, creative and varied curriculum, which is enhanced by theme weeks, visitors and visits, that create memorable experiences that help develop a love of learning. We aim to ensure that children develop an excellent attitude to learning in order to be the best they can be.

We have high expectations in all we do; behaviour, presentation, personal and academic progress and we work hard to fulfil our ambitions. At our school you will find a community of people Children, Staff, Governors and Parents - who are respectful and supportive of each other. We know that working together helps us to achieve our goals and provides us all with amazing and enjoyable moments along the way. Our school is integral part of the local community, which is seen as a hive of excellence and enjoyment, where children are provided with outstanding learning experiences.
