Administering medicine

When necessary school will administer prescribed medicines. We cannot administer medication that has not been prescribed by a doctor (unless this is paracetamol).  A parental agreement for school to administer medicine does need to be completed when medicine is brought into school. If your child needs to use an inhaler or take medicine on a regular basis please discuss this with the school office, so that all relevant forms can be completed. Term Time Holidays

You are asked to avoid booking holidays during term time as this has an adverse effect on your child’s learning. We do appreciate, that from time to time, you may wish to keep your child off school for important family reasons.

However, it is the governors’ policy and the policy of all STARMAT schools that holiday requests will be unauthorised. On occasions absences due to exceptional circumstances may be authorised.

If you would like your child/ children to walk home alone from school, please complete the form below, or email admin@sm.starmat.uk to give them written consent. We will then attach this to their Arbor record.
