The Thrive Approach is a way of supporting children’s social and emotional development so they can feel happy, confident, and ready to learn.
At our school, we believe that children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and supported. Thrive helps us to understand how children are feeling and what they might need to help them succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
We are proud to have three trained Thrive practitioners in school: Mr Jackson, Miss Sambidge, and Mrs Vickers. They work closely with children, staff, and families to provide the right support at the right time.
All children take part in weekly whole-class Thrive sessions. These sessions include activities that help children to:
Some children may need a little extra support. For these children, we offer 1:1 or small group Thrive sessions. These sessions are carefully planned to meet individual needs and help children feel more secure, calm, and ready to learn.
Through the Thrive Approach, we aim to support every child to feel valued, understood, and able to thrive.
