Children can choose to bring a packed lunch or have a school dinner at lunchtime. Children are given a choice of three options for their school meal: a hot meal of the day, a sandwich of the day or a jacket potato with a choice of fillings. These are chosen in a morning at registration and are freshly prepared and cooked on site.
If your child is staying for a school meal, please ensure payment is made through our online system, ParentPay (accounts will be set up when you join the school). We also use this system for all other payments such as school trips and clubs as we aim to be a cashless school.
All children in Reception, Years One and Two are entitled to a free school meal under the Government's Universal Free School Meal Scheme. The price of a school meal for children in Years Three to Six is £3.00.
If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, please see the information below.
Packed Lunches
If your child wants to bring a packed lunch, then we encourage a healthy choice. We kindly request that no fizzy drinks, sweets, or nuts be brought into school. This is essential as we have adults and children in school with nut allergies.
Children are supervised by a team of Mid-day Supervising Assistants who provide a caring, sociable and enjoyable lunch time for all children.
Children are encouraged to bring water bottles, labelled with their name and equipped with a sports cap, for use during lunchtime and throughout the school day.
