Late/Absence Procedures

Good attendance and punctuality are important. Children should be settled in class by 9.00 am, when the register will be taken. Children arriving after this time will be marked late. 

Any child arriving late should be brought to the front entrance and signed in by an adult.

 

If your child is ill, please telephone the school office on the day of their absence before 9.00 am. For safeguarding reasons if we do not hear from you by then we will contact all named contacts to ensure that pupils are safe.

 

Parents should sign the book in the entrance when taking a child from school or returning a child to school outside normal registration periods.

 

We monitor attendance and punctuality. If a child’s attendance falls below 95% parents/carers will be contacted.
