Winning House Team
This is our school song, written and performed by the children and staff at South Milford Primary School. We are a small North Yorkshire Primary School on the outskirts of Leeds. Danny from www.classdynamix.com enabled us to fulfill our vision and dream to produce a song that would allow us to share with the World the aims and ethos of our school.
'Wear It Bad' Day, was a day where children and staff were able to come into school wearing crazy, uncoordinated, clashing clothes to help raise funds for a school defibrillator. What an amazing effort everyone made!
The Junior Leadership Team worked together to create posters to advertise the event around school, reminding everyone what would be happening on the day. The team also helped to decide on different 3 minute challenges for the children to complete in the classrooms. These challenges were chosen to give the children a clearer understanding of how long 3 minutes is and what difference it can make to saving a person's life. They ended the day with a cake sale.
From an array of different colours, odd shoes and swimming outfits on top of clothes, the whole school had fun all round. To add to the day, classes participated in a variety of 3-minute challenges to show an awareness to the children of the importance of having one in school.
A magnificent £400 was raised on the day. JLT are now looking at was to raise the rest of the money for this very worthwhile project.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
